The key-note speakers that will honour the Opening Ceremony of our Conference are the distinguished experts:  

Yianna Hormova
Secretary General for Demography and Family Policy and Gender Equality
Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs

Yianna Hormova is an administrative scientist and public policy expert. She is a graduate of the National School of Public Administration and of the School of Philosophy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Degree in Archeology and Art History). She holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Masters Degree in Museum Organization and Management from the University of Leicester. Mrs Hormova is a civil servant since 2010 and before her appointment as Secretary General for Demography and Family Policy and Gender Equality, she was Head of Office of the Deputy Minister of Digital Governance (2019-2021). From 2014 to 2019 Mrs Hormova was Secretary General at the Municipality of Karpenisi. She was a Parliamentary Associate to a member of the Greek Parliament for five years (2002-2007), an associate to the Secretary General for Gender Equality during 2009 and an Assistant Curator in the Ashmolean Museum of Oxford in 1998. Mrs Hormova speaks English and Italian and she has published studies and articles in scientific journals. She is married and a mother of two.

Athanasios Staveris-Polykalas
Secretary-General of Telecommunications & Posts at Government of the Hellenic Republic
 Ministry of Digital Governance

Dr. Athanasios Staveris-Polykalas, completed his Bachelor Degree in Physics from University Of Athens and Masters in Applied Physics and Mathematics from NTUA. He completed his PhD in High Energy Physics. He worked as a researcher in the international experiment of CDF at Fermilab USA, under European Scholarship (RTN) and in co-operation with Instituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare Sezione di Pisa. Furthermore he has over 10 years professional experience in large scale ICT projects in private sector.He specializes in data analysis, use of AI and ML algorithms and Natural Language Processing. From July 2019 since November 2020 he worked as Technology Advisor to the Minister of Digital Governance Hellenic Republic. Since November 2020, he holds the position of Secretary General of Telecoms and Posts, under the Ministry of Digital Governance – Hellenic Republic. He is responsible for Space strategy implementation of Greece, Cyber Security, use of new technologies in telecommunications (AI/IoT) and the design of sustainable and resilient telecommunication infrastructures aligned with Secure Connectivity initiative, etc.

Alberto Prati is a research fellow at the University of Oxford, Wellbeing Research Centre. He also serves as an associate researcher at the Centre for Economic Performance (London School of Economics) and at the French Wellbeing Observatory (CEPREMAP). Previously, he has been a lecturer at Sciences Po Paris and a consultant for the OECD. He works on interdisciplinary issues related to economic psychology, wellbeing measurement, temporality and sustainability.He has a B.Sc in Econometrics and a B.A. in Philosophy from Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne University. He also holds a M.Res. in Economics from EHESS & Paris School of Economics. He competed his PhD in Economics at Aix-Marseille School of EconomicsHis research explores the relationship between time, judgments and decisions, with a particular focus on subjective well-being. He has also been studying cognitive biases, environmental sustainability and political preferences, using quantitative socio-economic data.
